This concept shifts the location of the four towers and realigns them along a diagonal grid in order to more directly address the riverfront and bring down the scale of the space between the towers to a more human and more urban condition. This realignment sets up a language that can serve as a catalyst, like a seed germinating the rest of the site to influence the spacing, location and orientation of the rest of the towers, which we see as a ‘field’ that is responsive to the central iconic gesture.
The shifting of the towers allows each tower to offer more substantial and direct views to the river—reflective of our approach to establishing an aesthetic that reconciles a poetic contextual story with pragmatic criteria in order to most effectively create value for the development. The position and siting of the four towers creates strategic avenues for entry into this central neighborhood and provides for the necessary pedestrian circulation through the site. The space at the foot of the towers becomes a network of shared garden space, flanked by sculpted spaces for amenities that creates an urban street edge conducive to placemaking and a feeling of belonging for the residents.
